Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using Classroots (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you are signing up on behalf of a school or organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these terms.

2. Description of Service

Classroots is a school management platform for community religious and cultural weekend schools. Features include student registration, attendance tracking, grade entry, messaging, and a content library.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these terms.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Upload content that is abusive, harassing, or infringes third-party rights
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other organizations' data
• Reverse-engineer or resell the Service
• Use automated scripts to scrape or stress-test the Service

5. Data Ownership

You retain full ownership of all student and organizational data you enter into the Service. We process it solely to provide the Service to you. Upon account closure you may request a data export within 30 days.

6. Fees and Payment

Parents and teachers use the Service at no cost. Organization subscriptions are billed per the plan agreed at sign-up. We will provide 30 days notice before any price increase.

7. Uptime and Support

We aim for 99.5% monthly uptime. Planned maintenance will be communicated in advance. Support is provided via email on a best-effort basis.

8. Termination

Either party may terminate this agreement with 30 days written notice. We may suspend or terminate immediately for material breach, non-payment, or illegal activity.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Classroots is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability shall not exceed the fees paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict of law provisions.

11. Changes

We may update these terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated to organization administrators at least 14 days in advance. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.
